With each two-page spread filled by a large animal photo, this book is a great discussion-starter for a lesson on animal adaptations. From butterflies to birds to mammals, it does a nice job covering all kinds of mouthparts. While you might not read every bit of text to younger kids, it would be appropriate for preschoolers as well as younger school age students. A detailed glossary is also included for building science vocabulary.
