An inspiring story of hope, redemption, and trying to hit the ball straight. A year ago, Travis McKinley, an unknown golfing amateur, shocked the world by winning the PGA Senior Open at Pebble Beach. Now he's famous, he makes his living playing the game he loves, and everything should be perfect. Still Travis can't shake the feeling that he's a fraud, an imposter who doesn't deserve his success - and after a series of disappointments and, to be honest, personal screw-ups, he might just prove himself right. A shot at redemption arrives in an unexpected form: a teenage outcast with troubles of his own - and a natural golf swing. As this unlikely duo sets out to achieve the impossible on the world's most revered golf course, Travis is about to learn that sometimes the greatest miracles of all take place when no one is watching.

I am not part of the "golf" family but I thoroughly enjoyed this simple narrative about the PGA Senior Tour and the history and layout of that great course at Augusta. I thought the story line interwoven with the many personalities was interesting and even fun showing that even the "gentleman's game" has changed over the years. The foul language, while far and few between, was not necessary but it did not affect my read...

Good, quick read. Basically a short story extended to 200 or so pages. If you read this at the beach, you won't have time to get a tan.

Do not read this book! A complete waste of time. Trashy language, ridiculous story. Unbelievably bad!! Need a shower after reading.

I grew up in a golfing family so I really enjoyed this book. It was both entertaining and inspiring with some humor thrown in. A great feel-good story.
(Didn't care for the foul language sprinkled throughout the book, but I put up with it. Seems to be the trend these days. I think it's unnecessary.)
