1st published more than 35 years ago, this book still tops the lists of best business books by the American Management Association, Strategy + Business (Booz Allen Hamilton), & The Wharton Center for Leadership and Change Management. 1-800-CEO-READ ranks Townsend's bestseller first among eighty books that "every manager must read." It's a bunch of short (1 -2 page) examples written by a guy who knows what he's talking about from experience. Better than a BS in Management (which is what most of the 'fad' books in the field are).
