Ms Putney is a gifted story teller, creating believable characters even within her contexts of magic. This story was good but not the best of her lot. However, she never disappoints.

Lovely story! I enjoy all of Mary Jo Putney's books and I wish there were sequels to this one. Even though I know that some of the secondary characters became non-magical characters in other books, I still wish they got their magical due!
