"The Cocktail Waitress", James M Cain, 1892 - 1977. has no specified creation date like the other works of Cain because it is supposedly discovered after his death. I didn't care for the story line and I didn't like the font either and gave up about 75 pages into. I doubt Cain ever intended this to be considered a completed novel that he would be proud to put his name to.

Unpublished manuscript from 1975. Recently discovered. Reads like an updated, nautier version of Cain's 1940 Mildred Pierce. A fun read for lovers of pulp fiction.

This was the worst book I've read this year. An epic disappointment.
