Annihilation does not suck, it was really good

I enjoyed the setting and main character a lot, although I feel the author rushed through a bit. Just my opinion but I'm sick of protagonists getting conked on the head all the time while everybody else in the "real" world gets straight-up murdered without remorse. (side note in order to get a better understanding you should at least read the first comic)

Excellent read, I love the new character. Though, I was surprised with some of the ways by which she was able to use the force (readers may or may not think such things possible for the Star Wars universe). However, it did not detract too much from the story and it makes a great addition to the now "Legends" designation.

Excellent read and very well-written. Lenoree Brock (main character) is a fascinating character to follow and learn about. The book ties in somewhat with the graphic novels (also called Dawn of the Jedi), though only near the end. I was left wanting to read more about Lenoree, but thus far this is the only book she appears in.

This book was really interesting. I liked how Lanoree and her brother fought at the end. Her brother died pretty epically.

i have read every star wars book ever written and this was by far the worst one ever

I was wowed by Tim Lebbon and Into the Void. It was a perfect balance of world building and story telling. Great prose mixed with a real feel for pushing the story breathlessly forward. Although the plot is modest, it encompass everything I'm looking for but haven't found recently in Star Wars novels. Great character exposition, great plotting and action. I was left flat with Scourge, I thought The Last Jedi was all over the place, Mercy Kill was joyless, and Annihilation was terrible. And don't get me started on the Fate of the Jedi novels. This book was different. It was compelling and revealing. Emotional and honest. I look forward to more stuff by Lebbon. I just wish Del Rey had enlisted him much earlier.

"The je'daii say,"There is no ignorance, there is knowledge", but they are ignorant of your lives, your struggles, and their superiority blinds them. They say,"There is no fear, there is power." Yet in their power they are smug. I will make them fear me"-Queen Hadiya

"For ten-thousand years we have studied the force and developed our society around and within it. Wars and conflicts have come and gone. We strive to keep the dark and the light forever in balance. But now there is something that might destroy us all. One man. And his dream."
