Another one of those adventure novels but this one invokes a little science-fiction: genetically engineered animals and (gasp!) even humans --- ok --- homi habilis. There's the mandatory violence: machine guns, napalm, --- you know, just the regular stuff --- nothing serious. A good romp through adventure land that keeps you occupied for a few riain or the plane ride.des on the subway or on the commuter tr

Rollicking good adventure. Predictable romance element, but palatable given the other strong elements of plot and suspense. Requires a certain suspension of disbelief, but is close enough to the plausible to be instructive. Can't wait to read the next instalment by James Rollins.
