I didn't know Roeper also compiled stories like this aside from film reviews. The collection takes on urban legends we've all heard- and some we haven't heard- presents the general narrative of each, and then takes them apart. The book is a brisk read, and entertaining as you ask yourselves just how anyone can believe these "a friend of a friend told me" stories.
