Readings on The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is a good collection of literary criticism. The collection is intended for a young adult audience; presumably in the first year or two of college. My only complaint is that the editors do not put the date of publication in the introduction for each essay. One has to read the fine print at the bottom in the citation. It isn't a critical omission but it is always helpful to put what one is reading on a time-line.
