"When Newport Beach heiress Hayley Fordham heads to Costa Rica on an art commission, she has no idea she's narrowly escaped an assassin's car bomb. But before the paint is dry on her mural, her stepsiblings have arranged Hayley's funeral and redivided the family trust. The fact that she's very much alive remains a secret to everyone but FBI investigator Ryan Hollister, who intercepts the "victim" returning home. Ryan has zero tolerance for the pampered elite. But there's something about the complex Hayley that sets his blood racing" --Cover, p. 4.

Well plotted and a good read. A little error here and there didn't over shadow the story.

very very very good book. Kept me reading until the end. very suspenseful and made me never want to put it down. Main character Hayley is prounouced dead, and Ryan is asked to help with the case. He is attracted to her picture right away, but forces himself not to fall for a dead women. She's dead until she shows up in her loft saying she was in Costa Rica. The "killer" had killed her best friend thinking it was her in a car bomb. They were after her in order to gain more of the trust fund. unexpected twist at the end but, made the ending very well done. Book as a whole was great! However, occasionally the wrong characters name would be used.. Such as Ryan was called Rob, or instead of the killer, Chad was written.
