Gallaway proves himself a great storyteller with this adventurous, sensual novel. The character studies are beautiful and the narrative--part historical novel, part mystery, part romance--is gripping. It's a dangerously addictive read. Music-lovers note: Gallaway draws extensively on rock and opera; no knowledge of either genre is required to enjoy, however.
