A great adventure even though the theory turned out to be incorrect.

Fascinating true story of six men who sailed a balsa wood raft from Peru to the Polynesian islands in the late 1940s to prove a theory that the South Pacific was originally poplated by natives of Peru and British Columbia, Canada.

An incredible saga of seamanship and leadership showing Heyerdahl at his best. It's true that DNA studies have now proven that migration on such rafts to Pacific islands didn't occur, but the voyage is still a great achievement.
