It's a volatile new economy in Durant when the owners of a multimillion-dollar development of ranchettes want to get rid of the adjacent Stewart junkyard. Meeting the notorious Stewart clan is an adventure unto itself, and when conflict erupts—and someone ends up dead—Sheriff Walt Longmire, his lifelong friend Henry Standing Bear, and deputies Santiago Saizarbitoria and Victoria Moretti find themselves in a small town that feels more and more like a high-plains pressure cooker.

I am working my way through Craig Johnson's books, and really enjoy them partly because I grew up in that area. I find them to be well written and fast moving, and the humor is exceptional. "Junkyard Dogs" is my favorite of his books so far, but I have quite a few to go.

I was able to rent the e-book so no longer needed the printed version. As usual, love the characters and am looking forward to the next book in the series.

I laughed out loud at least 3 times while reading this book. Love the characters, love the author.
