I recently saw Maraniss at the Miami book fair. So, read this book. I couldn't put it down. His stories were his writing from the Wash. Post and other publications. Starting with sad and thoughtful memories of the death of his sister to Vince Lombardi, Virginia Tech shooting, Martin Luther King,, 9?11.. etc. He gives you an overview of a period in history in a unique, personal and readable way. I recommend this book.
