McCauley's writing technique is as clever and trendy as the world of superficial lives and loves about which he writes. While his style may be well honed and engaging as if he were doing battle at a cocktail party to remain amusing and entertaining, his characters' stories seem shallow and definitely forgettable. Falls under what I would term a category of All Style and No Substance.

Defintely doesnt fit the mold of your typical love story. And I have to say that make the book better, in some wierd way. Not the best book but I enjoyed once completed.

omg such a boring book won't suggest reading it

Stephen McCauley does it again, with this funny, insightful and ultimately poignant look at the long-term, slightly off-the-rails relationship between two men in Boston.
