The book that I have just finished is called, "Blood Is Thicker" by Paul Langan and D.M. Blackwell, a realistic-fiction book. In this book the Protagonist is Hakeem and the antagonist is his cousin, Savon. Hakeem also has a girlfriend, Darcy. The setting in this book is mostly in Detroit, where Hakeem had to move because his dad had cancer and had to pay for all the medical bills and after that his dad couldn’t work because he needs his strength back. In Hakeem’s family he has one dad, one mom and two twin sisters. Now they had to move to Detroit because Savon had some space where they can live in. When they got there Hakeem’s family met aunt, Lorraine then later met uncle, James. James owns a furniture shop. One way Hakeem keeps him self from building up anger inside his body is by playing the guitar. Savon’s family says that he is doing something illegal in public. Who really knows the truth?
